A Big Thank You from the Bike to PSU Challenge & Week Four Winners!

Thank you so much to everybody who participated in the month-long Bike to PSU Challenge. With summer quickly approaching and the weather (hopefully) getting nicer, we hope that all of you will continue to riding to school, to work, for running errands and for the simple enjoyment of it.

This year we had a great Challenge. We saw 644 riders actively logging trips with 74 teams of 4 riders or more out there on the roads. Together, PSU students, staff, and faculty logged a total 69,396 miles and burned 6,400,415 calories.

Thank you to the team captains (all 74 of you!) who coordinated, encouraged, and set an example for your teammates. Keep up the great work! And of course, thank you to the 228 new commuters that joined the Challenge this year! We love to see all of you out there participating in the Bike to PSU Challenge. Thank you!

We would also like say thank you to our Bike to PSU Challenge sponsors: Breezer Bikes, Ortlieb, Giro Helmets, Bern Helmets, Olé Latte, Linus Bikes, Portland Design Works, North St. Bags, Abus, KIND, Café Yumm, Hotlips Pizza, and Stumptown Coffee. Thanks to their generous support, we were able to give away some truly inspiring prizes that helped motivate more riders to ride more often to PSU than ever before.

Lastly, we want to give our special thanks to our signature sponsor, The Bicycle Transportation Alliance. In addition to making the Bike to PSU Challenge possible by sharing their resources with us, they are also tireless advocates and educators who are working year-round to make bicycling safer and more prevalent throughout the state of Oregon. Please, consider joining the BTA as member and supporting cycling. (NOTE: They have special rates and volunteer options for student membership!)

We hope that all of you enjoyed the 2015 Bike to PSU Challenge as much as we did and we look forward to seeing you all out there on the road. Be safe and have fun on your bike!
